One of the things I noticed first was the opening scene. On the script we notice that there was supposed to be a struggle between her and her attacker. From this part, we know that she was meant to be knocked out and the attacker is supposed to be noticed in this scene too.
In the programme, this is cut out. As an audience we realise that she goes up the ladder and then this cuts straight to the new people moving in. And her body is found later on. We see no struggle, just a sudden disappearance. This may have been cut out from the script because it would give the same effect and would be more creepier. Also, to film this part, it'd be hard without showing the attackers face or anything. It gives the scene more mystery and creates a creepy atmosphere as we have no description or no motivation as to why she had been killed in the first place.
In the scene below, it shows Len saying about Melissa's financial history and her flat history. In the script it says "Last activity on her bank account was February 2011, cash withdrawal of £30". This may have been cut out from the programme because it was unnecessary or just unrealistic, because people use their banks almost everyday or every week. This may have just been taken out as it made no sense or they had no use for this part of speech in the actual filming process.
In the scene below, the two characters shown aren't actually that relevant to the whole episode and the information they give isn't going to give us anything to solve the murder later on. The two characters are named Adam and Peri, as she enters his flat.
Not sure what your last point means. Otherwise this is OK Sav - you have considered some of the changes. Your first point is probably the best. Please give this post the correct label.
