My favourite aspect of the video was the plot to it. It was simple and easy to understand and had a little bit of comic value in it. This made our video enjoyable to watch and easier for us to film as well. My least favourite aspect of the video was how the dialogue was spoken; this made the video sound and look awkward. The dialogue could have been better organised and spoken as a conversation. However we were limited on the dialogue we could use which could be one of the reasons it made the conversation sound awkward.
During the filming, I think our group worked efficiently sticking to the task at hand; we spent time and effort shooting scenes making sure they could be edited smoothly during post production. Our cuts were smooth and flowed well with the action of what we filmed. The part I felt that went smoothly was the first scene as we managed to film that within minutes making sure it was up to standard. We successfully completed the shot types and understood how to film them such as the close up of our faces to show emotion as we see each other for the first time in the video. We also understood that how well we filmed each shot could affect the way our video was viewed.
Some of the storyline didn’t go to plan as we quickly changed our minds which could be why our video wasn’t as good as it could have been. In the cut where there is an over the shoulder shot when I am talking, I could have talked louder and more predominant to engage the viewer, rather than being quiet and the viewer cannot hear what I’m saying making them uninterested in the video. The music was louder than our speech which made some of our video awkward to watch. Our location was scattered with lights, tables and boxes of props, which made the video cluttered and look untidy. The first shot was too long, which made the beginning tedious. The shot where I walked into the room, and the shot after wards where I am standing still but further back in the frame, ruined the continuity as it wasn’t a match on action, this made the flow of the video a jarred. Also in the shot where Kirk is holding the money and the shot afterwards he isn’t also ruined the continuity a little bit as well, as it wasn’t a match on action and could easily confuse the viewer. In post-production, we had a slight hiccup as the software wasn’t playing back our footage, however we overcame this and the editing went to plan and looked smooth. We could have used ripple editing to make the continuity smoother and pin point exactly which parts we wanted to cut and put together.
Overall, we could’ve made the continuity smoother and the dialogues pitch should’ve matched the soundtrack. However, I think the filming went well and our group was effective in both acting, shooting and in post-production.

A very good first peice of work Savannah. You attempt to use some of the key terms of continuity such as match cut on action, and you write fluently. You could have spread your stills out through the post and explained why they were chosen a little further. But promising work. Well done.
